A Sacramento widow asked her brother to move into her home after it had previously been burglarized, and so when two thugs came to rob them shortly after, the brother and sister were ready:
Police say that two teens were shot dead after being confronted by an occupant of the home they allegedly tried to burglarize.
"It's happened before, so she's pretty shaken up about the incident that's been going on," said a neighbor who didn't want to be identified.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers were called to the 1000 block of Arcade Boulevard for a robbery in progress. Once at the scene, however, officers found that two young men had been shot dead.
"Last night I heard a bang, bang, bang. And then within a minute, there were cops everywhere," said the neighbor.
"Authorities have not stated whether the homeowner or her brother fired the shots, but they have said that the shooting does appear to be self-defense and there is not expectation that charges will be filed."
"We can now expect a sob-story from the relatives of the two dead burglars, informing us that they didn't deserve to die for terrorizing the elderly couple, and that they were "respectable boys."
"That's how it works, right?"
