Yep, looks like he’s doing it a small slice at a time. First Abkhazia and South Ossetia and now the Crimea. Those regions with a significant ethnic Russian presence left over from the former Soviet Union provide a readymade excuse for the Russian Federation to interfere in the local internecine squabbles of the former Soviet republics.
