Now that a person is regarded as a hero for publicly proclaiming that they
are gay, shouldn't they be required to prove that they are indeed gay?

I mean, we can't have people claiming all kinds of accolades for themselves,
like they were they first person to climb Mount Everest, they won the Medal
of Honor or they are the first gay man to play pro football, without some
kind of proof now, can we?!
