Fascinating! An African-American listener to the Rush Limbaugh radio show called to describe his theory that Donald Sterling was set up by people who covet the LA Clippers and wanted him to be forced to sell the team.
After all, it was well known for years among the LA “glitterati” that Donald Sterling was an all-around jerk and buffoon who was inclined to make intemperate remarks, particularly ones involving race. So why all the outrage over his behavior now? Especially over remarks that were made in private when they were recorded? Keep in mind that California has very strict laws regarding recording conversations: all parties must give their consent or else it is illegal to record the conversation. So the manner in which the recording was obtained is as much an issue as what was said.
Donald Sterling has been a major contributor to the Democrat party and to the NAACP. So, again, why go after him now? Has he outlived his usefulness?
Anyway, as events have unfolded, it appears that “Neil” from Dallas is spot-on his analysis.
