Yes, John Nolte brings up something I was wondering about: Why pick Stephen Colbert to replace David Letterman?
Kyle Smith: Colbert Is Not Funny
I had to laugh as some of the commenters on yesterday's Top 5 actually freaked out after I pointed out how low Colbert's ratings are and that "The Colbert Report" is regularly beat by Adult Swim. Why does math and science upset leftists so? Al Sharpton even ripped me on his MSNBC show. Why so bitterly defensive?
Sorry, but Colbert is the "Girls" of Late Night: low-rated but made to seem bigger than he really is because elites love leftism and confirmation of their own biases. Colbert is not America's comedian, he is a Jester to the State and the elites that protect and feed off of The State.
Oh, and as Kyle Smith reminds us, Colbert also isn't funny -- which might
explain his losses to Adult Swim:
Colbert essentially does the same joke over and over (conservatives are morons) and he's only funny if you accept the premise (conservatives are morons) while you snort Mountain Dew out your nose thinking about what an awesome point he just made. (Conservatives are morons.)

Nolte is right. Colbert's shtick is stale by now and wasn't really funny to begin with. Like hearing a lame joke repeated over and over again. All good humor has to have an element of truth to it and there is no truth to what
Colbert is trying to portray. The only people that humor connects with then are Leftists who want to believe that Conservatives are stupid (and evil too, let's not forget). Thus it hard to imagine what makes CBS believe that
Colbert can attract and hold a large audience? Unless CBS thinks that people will just continue to watch out of habit, or, as Rush Limbaugh opined, CBS is dismissive of Conservatives and doesn't care if they feel insulted or
not.
A second item of interest is the PC bullying of Heidi Klum.

Yes, as Dr. Ben Carson observed Political Correctness has everyone browbeaten into silence and submission. As Nolte writes, part of PC is all about the need of Leftist white people to feel superior, particularly to
other white people. Our country's white Leftist elite feels sympathy toward poor and uneducated people of color, but contempt for poor and uneducated white people. The other part of PC is that it is intended to silence all
political opposition to the Leftist agenda to transform America into a socialist country ruled by a single Leftist party. PC has been VERY effective in silencing opposition.
