No Country For Young Men

"The Western Left's biggest lie is that it represents a movement of the
young, but it really represents the very old. Their very concerns are
geriatric: Marxism, trash recycling, health and safety, public
transportation and gossip."

"The big giveaway is we as a civilization don't want to go to the planets
anymore, because the old don't want to go anywhere. Imagine clambering into
spaceships! The very idea gives us the shivers. Only the young and immortal
travel to places where they may never be able to get Ibuprofen."

Yes, author Richard Fernandez has correctly identified the political reality
in 21st Century America: we're a dying country run by old white Leftists who
promote failed policies from the past. Most of the American Left's ideas are
30 to 200 years old. Just recycled Marxism, Progressivism, Collectivism,
Fascism and 1960's activism. Even the current "political correctness" dates
back to the "cultural Marxism" theories for promoting societal change
advanced by the "Frankfurt School" of Marxism in Germany back in the 1920's.

Nowadays it is the Conservatives and Libertarians, the "Tea Party"
activists, who are the real reformers. Although a major problem that
reformers have today is that the Left seems to have successfully
indoctrinated and subordinated much of the country's youth to their
worldview.
