The suspect in custody after five people were stabbed to death at a house party is the son of a senior police officer, sources tell QMI Agency.
Police said it appears the deceased - four men and one woman - were in their late teens or early 20s.
A suspect fled the scene before police arrived, but officers were able to track him down a short distance away and arrested him with the help of the K9 unit, police spokeswoman Emma Poole said.
