A San Antonio cop got a month-long suspension for snacking on Whataburger instead of helping a fellow officer outside.
Whatajerk.
A San Antonio cop was hit with a 30-day suspension after he strolled into a Whataburger and sat down for a meal instead of helping his fellow officer deal with a drunken disturbance outside.
When Officer Gary Nel pulled into the burger joint, the manager asked if he was there to respond to the boozy man outside, KENS reported.
He said no — and went inside to eat, according to an incident report.
Nel, the officer struggling with the sotted subject had to call for backup.
Eventually, cops collared Aaron Navarro outside while Nel chowed down on a burger inside.
This isn’t the Texas officer’s first time in the hot seat. In 2015, he was caught on camera body slamming a DUI suspect, the TV station reported.
for 40 days after cursing out a fellow cop during a traffic stop months earlier, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
When Nel pulled over Officer August Primera in September 2015 for reckless driving, he used “profane and abusive language.”
He ignored protocol during the arrest and later sent a text to another officer claiming he’d “beat the f---” out of Primera if he faced any repercussions for letting him off.
