Kasich Was Deadhead

More funny revelations about John Kasich.

John Kasich once got a little too into the music at a Dead show.
At the time, the current Republican governor of Ohio and possible presidential hopeful was a congressman. At the show, he tried to climb the steps to the stage, but was stopped by tour organizers. According to the story, Kasich had a pass around his neck, and said his name several times to the tour organizers who were trying to shuttle him off. It seemed to attendees that Kasich was trying to use his status to get on the stage…
The Grateful Dead fans are practically synonymous with psychedelic drug use. Psychedelic drug use can cause cognitive changes requiring anti-psychotic medications to alleviate.
While the exact causes are not known, both conditions are more often seen in individuals with a history of psychological problems but can happen to anyone, even after a single exposure. There is no established treatment for HPPD, in which flashbacks may occur spontaneously and repeatedly although less intensely than their initial occurrence. Some antidepressant and antipsychotic drugs can be prescribed to help improve mood and treat psychoses, however.
Anti-psychotics produce tardive dyskinesia, which manifests as the uncontrollable mouth movements Kasich frequently demonstrates, such as when he juts out his chin and both outside corners of his mouth pull down reflexively in mid-sentence, flexing the tendons in his neck, as if he is stretching his neck muscles. Given his weird body movements, the strange tonal variations of his speech, and the tardive dyskinesia, it wouldn’t be surprising if has been on some very strong psych medications.
The more I see of Kasich, the more I think he probably has a very interesting psychiatric history – and he is totally unfit for the Presidency.
