A man was shot and killed on Gray Hwy. in Macon Sunday night.
Bibb County deputies are saying that a man who was shot and killed late Sunday on Gray Highway was attempting to rob three other men.
Bibb County deputies found Migel Diadell, 20, lying on the ground with gunshot wounds behind O'Reilly Auto Parts at about 11 p.m. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to a Monday morning news release from the sheriff's office, two men - Travis Edenfield, 18, and Joseph Shedd, 17, - were unloading equipment at a building next door to O'Reilly's. Deputies say Diadell and another unidentified man approached the two men with a gun demanding money.
The suspects forced Shedd and Edenfield into a truck and drove to an ATM in an attempt to get the victims to withdraw cash, the news release states.
When that didn't work, the suspects drove the victims back to the area behind the O'Reilly's. The suspects ordered the men to call their boss, 34-year-old Brian Hinkle, telling him to bring money.
Hinkle showed up, the news release states.
The suspects ordered Edenfield to walk over to Hinkle's vehicle and get the money, according to the news release.
Diadell reportedly began running towards Hinkle and Edenfield firing his gun at them.
Hinkle, who had his gun, returned fire striking Diadell three times, the news release states.
No charges have been filed and the case is still being investigated, according to the news release.
Authorities say they're still looking for the other suspected robber.
