Who Suffers? Race Riots, Then And Now

http://dailycaller.com/2014/11/26/who-suffers-race-riots-then-and-now/

So much for our "militarized" police force. They still can't protect us from mob violence.
"Although police were often, rightly or wrongly, blamed for precipitatingconflict with black youth, their role was even more important for what theydid not do: protect the business owners and the vast majority of blacks whodisapproved of the rioting. In the 1960s, civil leaders ordered police tostep aside because they lacked discipline, often shot indiscriminately, andhad no understanding of riot control. The pages of business magazines werefilled with stories of mom-and-pop business owners having an entire lifetimeof work destroyed. Their employees (almost always black) were casualties aswell when they lost their jobs. And so the same scene plays out in Fergusondespite years of improvements in crowd control."
