Germany Stays Tough on Greek Debt Relief


Oh those Germans. Like Brit Hume of Fox news opined, they have this quaint notion that when people borrow money they ought to pay it back. But the way the Greeks see it, the money that German tax payers have been sending to Greece for all these years to enable Greeks to live far above their means are reparations for all the oppression and atrocities the Germans perpetrated in Greece during World War II, not a loan. So there! The Greeks are not going to accept any cuts to their benefits or give up the life style to which they have become accustomed.  Looks like we have irreconcilable differences here.
