FYI: The RCMP uses the Smith and Wesson 5946 in 9mm. As for the rest of
Canada's police agencies, Glock and Sig-Sauer dominate the police handgun
market in Canada just as they do in the USA. For example,  the Toronto
Police, the Ottawa Police, the Vancouver Transit Police, the Edmonton Police
and the Canadian nuclear power plant security forces all use the Glock 22 in
.40 S&W caliber. The Sûreté du Québec, AKA Quebec Provincial Police, uses
the Glock 17, compact Glock 19 and sub-compact Glock 26, all in 9x19mm. The
Canadian Armed Forces, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Vancouver
Metropolitan Police and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary all use the
Sig-Sauer P226 in 9x19mm. Exceptions to this Glock and Sig dominance are the
Montreal Police Service, which uses the Walther P99 in 9x19mm caliber and
the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) which adopted the Beretta PX4
Storm in 9x19mm caliber for issue to its personnel back in 2007.
