Danny DeVito on #OscarsSoWhite: ‘The Entire Country Is a Racist Country’

Well there you are. If Danny DeVito says we are a racist country then it must be true. We must be irredeemably racist. It’s a wonder that so many illegal  immigrants and “refugees” still want to live here. Why? Did someone lie to them and tell them America is NOT racist? If that’s the case it’s a good thing we have brave people like Danny DeVito willing to spread the truth about how racist America really is.

Danny DeVito gave a pretty blunt take on the #OscarsSoWhite controversy, saying at Sundance yesterday, “The entire country is a racist country.”
DeVito lamented how “even though some people have given great performances in movies,” they were overlooked, possibly on the basis of race.

“We are living in a country,” he said, “that discriminates and has certain… racist tendencies. So sometimes it manifests in things like this and it’s illuminated. But just generally speaking, we’re a bunch of racists.”
DeVito was at Sundance for his new film Wiener-Dog. One of his co-stars, Julie Delpy, got lots of attention on Friday for saying Hollywood is worse for women than for African-Americans.
You can watch DeVito’s remarks, followed by comments from Don Cheadle and Sam Neill, via the Associated Press above.
