With few players, Richfield boys' hockey program cancels varsity season

Must be they can’t interest Somalis in playing hockey in Minnesota. What’s up with that? The Canadians managed to teach French people to play it after all. Which is more than any European ever succeeded in doing.


Richfield, a program with six state tournament appearances from 1962-91 that produced players such as Steve Christoff, Darby Hendrickson and Tom Ward, struggled to stay competitive in recent years.
