Ash Carter says U.S. military too ‘top heavy,’ aims to cut ranks of generals and admirals

While the US military might have too many senior officers Secretary Crapweasel Carter will concentrate on removing those who aren´t loyal to Obama´s destroy-the-military ideas and using the military as a leftist PC proving ground to the detriment of performance, moral and destructive ability.

FYI. One reason the U.S. military is rank heavy is so that it can expand quickly in time of war. Most modern militaries tend to be since it is good to have lot of trained senior leaders on hand so you can create new combat formations quickly. You can draft privates but you can’t draft colonels and master sergeants. Likewise it takes time to train pilots and ship captains so it’s good to have extra ones on hand at the start of the war. Get there “firstest with the mostest” and overwhelm the enemy as General Nathan Bedford Forest observed. Of course since we don’t intend to win wars anymore it no longer matters.
