- Carl and Eileen Portenza, along daughter Alli, 26, were attacked by six armed men at their Indianapolis at 5am on October 29, 2013
- Eileen and Alli were both sexually assaulted, while Eileen was twice shot and forced to drive to an ATM to withdraw cash
- After hours of abuse the men fled in the family's cars but were all later arrested, four of them were recently convicted
- The family have explained how they were able to overcome their trauma because of each other, their faith and one sentiment: 'Don't let them win'
