Police Consider 'Knockout Game' A Possibility In Fatal Lawncrest Attack

https://cbsphilly.files.wordpress.com/2016/08/lawncrest.jpg?w=1280

Investigators say the victim was hit, then fell and hit his head.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The video is disturbing. The reason behind the attack, perhaps horrifying.
“He all of a sudden, without any notice throws a punch and it’s clear the victim never saw it coming,” said Lt. Phillip Riehl of the Philadelphia Police.
Investigators say the seemingly random and unprovoked attack happened Friday evening on the 700 block of Adams Avenue in the Lawncrest section of the Northeast. The victim was 30-year-old Mardoquo Sincal Jochola. He and his brother have been in the U.S. for eight years and are from Guatemala.
“Only he’s my brother,” said the victim’s brother. “Now, he really leave me forever. I never see him never ever.”
The victim’s brother, who said he’s afraid to show his face while the attackers are still out there, told Eyewitness News that his brother would work landscaping jobs and while they had very little here, they did have each other. “I want to go back to my country. I don’t want to live here no more,” he said.
Police say it was just one sucker punch to the head that killed Sincal Jochola. He stumbled, hit the ground and the group, not even waiting a moment, runs away.
Detective are now looking into if this brutal attack could be part of that knockout game, where people are unsuspectingly punched, or hit on the street. “It certainly is a possibility, but regardless of what the motivation is, it’s still a pretty scary crime that some person could be walking down the street and be punched for no reason and killed,” said Lt. Riehl.
Anyone with information on the attack is urged to call police.

Baltimore Draws 10-Year Blueprint To Cut Racial Health Disparities

https://kaiserhealthnews.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/freddiegraymural_770.jpg

The reason for this disparity of health: Racism!  This means spending more money on programs that will create jobs for Leftists and influence for Leftist politicians. One wonders what new programs will be called for ten years from now?

=========================================
Officials aim to bring elevated rates of lead poisoning, heart disease, obesity, smoking and overdoses among Baltimore’s African-Americans closer to those of whites.

Baltimore officials presented a 10-year plan Tuesday that sharply highlights the poor health status of African-Americans and aims to bring black rates of lead poisoning, heart disease, obesity, smoking and overdoses more in line with those of whites.
“We wanted to specifically call out disparities” in racial health, said Dr. Leana Wen, who became the city’s health commissioner early last year. “And we have a moonshot. Our moonshot is we want to cut health disparities by half in the next 10 years.”
Black Baltimore leaders praised Wen for putting disparities squarely in the conversation even as they acknowledged the difficulty of achieving the plan’s goals.
“It’s a big challenge. There’s no debating that,” said Diane Bell-McKoy, CEO of Associated Black Charities, a Maryland nonprofit. “She takes a step forward more so than anybody else I’ve seen because she calls it out. Most of the time we find code words for it. We don’t call it out.”
Violence last year following the death of Freddie Gray, a black man who died after being injured in police custody, exposed Baltimore’s health divide as well as its criminal justice differences, officials said. Gray’s family had won a settlement for alleged lead-paint poisoning, which is blamed for low test scores and cognitive challenges among thousands of Baltimore children.
“What happened last year with Freddie Gray put Baltimore in the national media spotlight,” said Helen Holton, a Baltimore councilwoman who represents a portion of the city’s west side. “That made people stop and take notice of what had been going on and stop treating it as business as usual.”
The health plan, called Healthy Baltimore 2020, was first reported by the Baltimore Sun. Officials plan to track blood-lead levels, overdose deaths, child fatalities, healthy-food availability and other indicators year by year. It’s called Healthy Baltimore 2020 because officials have set ambitious goals to achieve before 10 years is up, Wen said.
Tentative targets include cutting youth homicides by 10 percent and disparities in obesity, smoking and heart-disease deaths by 15 percent — all by 2020.
Tactics include more programs to reduce street violence, expanded anti-smoking campaigns, more home visits for pregnant women and increased access to naloxone, which blocks the effects of heroin.
The blueprint is “an ongoing document” that will be amended with community participation and results closely scored, Wen said.
“Our community is sick of us overpromising and underdelivering,” she said.
Baltimore officials have made substantial progress in reducing lead poisoning, lowering teen pregnancy and cutting infant mortality.
But as in many other areas, Baltimore is still divided by health. Residents of Gray’s west-side neighborhood of Sandtown-Winchester live 10 years less on average than Marylanders in general. Poor neighborhoods have far higher rates of heart disease, diabetes, addiction, HIV infection and other illness than more prosperous parts of the city.
Black leaders emphasized that Baltimore’s health won’t improve unless policymakers address deeper causes of illness such as poverty, unemployment and poor housing.
“It is affirming to see someone in Dr. Wen’s role address the uncomfortable truths behind health inequities,” said Debbie Rock, CEO of LIGHT Health and Wellness, which offers health and other community services on Baltimore’s west side. “This is a great platform to also address upstream factors” such as low incomes, she said.
Holton compared the health blueprint to a Justice Department report this month alleging a pattern of excessive force and violation of constitutional rights by the Baltimore Police Department.
Both documents address racial differences and offer challenges for improvement, she said.
“You can travel 5 miles from one neighborhood to another and it’s like you are in two different communities” in health levels, Holton said. “Freddie Gray was like the tipping point. Let’s take this and make it a teachable moment of how to be better moving forward.”

Why Are There Only FIFTY-TWO Christians Among Obama’s 10, 000 Syrian Refugees?

https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/vdare-live/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/31154024/MosulMuslimsBurn1800YrOldChurch.jpg

Above, in 2014 ISIS burned an 1800-year-old church in Mosul Iraq.

Obama hit his 10,000 Syria refugee goal the other day, a month ahead of the fiscal year deadline. Now critics are asking why so few are Christians — a mere 52 individuals, or 0.5 percent — despite the fact that Christians are the ones being genocided by Muslims in their Middle Eastern homelands. Why is the government bringing the dangerous perp tribe here rather than rescuing endangered Christians?
Stuart Varney of Fox Business was outraged that the number of Syrian Christians was negligible. He discussed the situation with Zuhdi Jasser on Tuesday.
STUART VARNEY: The ten thousand Syrian refugees admitted to the United States. There’s an interesting story here — will you break down those numbers, E-Mac.
ELIZABETH MacDONALD: Muslims, there’s 9945; Christians, just 52. Remember, John Kerry said Yes there’s Christian genocide going on, but he only did that after the House of Representatives voted unanimously saying Yes there is genocide of Christians going on in the Middle East.
VARNEY: 9945 Muslims, 52 Christians are coming in — got it. Zuhdi Jasser is with us this morning. Zuhdi, can you explain this to our viewers? 9945 Muslims and 52 Christians — I thought it was the Christians who are being killed and slaughtered.
ZUHDI JASSER: Well Stuart, this is what happens when you don’t have ideological vetting, when we just sort of let first-come first-serve, you’re not going to actually be fair. This is why vetting is so important because the Christians are not Islamist. We have to vet against Islamists and then the numbers will follow. And the Christians are getting it from both sides. The Assadists, the Assad regime works with Hezbollah and the radical Shia element and then the ISIS Islamists are radical Sunni elements, so caught in the middle are the Christian community. They can’t even go to the refugee camps because they get persecuted there, so we have to make an effort to bring them out —active effort to do so, and when the State Department doesn’t, they just Sunniso new Muslim.
VARNEY: See, I’m not looking for a religious test: I’m far from it. I’m looking for a genuine refugee test — who are the genuinely persecuted people? Bring them in, that’s America’s role. I got no problem with that no matter who they are.
JASSER: Exactly — we’re at war, we’re at war against political Islam the Islamist that have a theo-political ideology that hates the West, hates freedom and democracy, that includes from a tough-love perspective, an ideology within the Muslim community — but not all Muslims — and so far even before, it used to be 50-50 Christians of the 30,000. The last 10,000 has been all Sunni Muslim because we have no longer been vetting. I mean, when Secretary Kerry yesterday in Bangladesh makes this statement “Oh too bad the media’s paying too much attention to terrorism, they just shouldn’t even pay attention to it” — that tells you where the radar of the State Department is, and unfortunately the Christian community is caught in the middle and is being ignored.
VARNEY: Let me fill that in for you, exactly what John Kerry said yesterday in the media: “If you decide one day you’re going to be a terrorist… you can make some noise. Perhaps the media should do us all a service if they didn’t cover it quite as much. People wouldn’t know what’s going on.” That’s the Secretary of State from the United States of America saying that kind of thing. What is this?
JASSER: I don’t even know. I’m speechless. We hear our Secretary of State as we take in thousands of refugees, most of whom need refuge, as you are seeing, Stuart, but if we don’t vet for the ideologies that threaten us that lead to terrorism, if we don’t have a barometer in which to predict and know what are the precursors for radicalization which is Islamism, that he’s going to make ridiculous utterances like this that completely portray him as either being a fool or trying to deceive America. And Americans are smart, and I hope as we head towards the election season, we start to get politicians that really understand what keeps America safe.
Plus, the administration doesn’t intend to stop importing Syrian Muslims but plans to continue at full speed. As theWashington Times reported on Monday30,000 more Syrian refugees waiting in the wings as Obama hits 10,000 goal ahead of schedule.
Interestingly, ZERO Syrian refugees were sent to Obama’s home state Hawaii or Joe Biden’s New Jersey: dangerous Muslim diversity for little citizens, but not for the neighborhoods of the top elites.
The Obama administration has surpassed its goal of receiving 10,000 Syrian refugees by Oct. 1, but very few of the new arrivals are Christian.
The official count for the fiscal year reached 10,126 resettled Syrians when 224 refugees arrived Monday. They are among 12,000 Syrian refugees interviewed earlier this year in Jordan by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Although 1 million Christians have fled Syria, Christians comprise only 0.51 percent of the refugee total.  More than 98 percent of those allowed into the United States this fiscal year are Sunni Muslims, the largest Islamic sect in Syria comprising 74 percent of that population.
Some Christians believe the Syrian Christian immigration numbers should be much higher; the percentage of those allowed into the United States should reflect their percentage of the population in Syria.
Last September, President Obama pledged to increase the number of Syrian refugees allowed to enter the United States. He set a goal of 10,000, six times the number of those allowed to enter the U.S. in FY 2015 when a total of 1682 were admitted – that compared to only 105 Syrian refugees admitted in FY 2014.
Although Christians are 10 percent of the Syrian population, only 100 Syrian Christian refugees have been allowed to enter the United States since the start of the civil war more than five years ago.
Why so few Christians?
Earlier this year some of the Republican presidential candidates–Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump said greater immigration priority should be given to Syrian Christians over Muslims.
President Obama has argued there should be no religious litmus test for admitting Syrian refugees. He said such a policy would be un-American.
“When individuals say we should have a religious test and that only Christians, proven Christians, should be admitted, that’s offensive and contrary to American values,” the president said.
Last March, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry announced that atrocities committed by the Islamic State against Yazidis, Christians and other minorities in Iraq and Syria constituted genocide.
But so far, the genocide declaration has not changed the number of affected minorities allowed into the United States. In addition to receiving only 52 Christians this fiscal year, the government has only admitted 14 Yazidis and 20 Shi’a Muslims into the country (official figures released before the Monday arrivals).
The Obama administration has yet to announce its goal for next year, but immigration observers expect the number to be set at 20,000. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton says she’d like to see the number increased to 65,000.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says that would amount to a 500 percent increase in Syrian refugees admitted into the country. He has called it a “bigger version of the legendary Trojan Horse.”
He and other Republicans say the government lacks a thorough vetting program for the refugees and the current process exposes the people of the U.S. to the possibility of more Islamic terror attacks like those that occurred in San Bernardino and Orlando.

Muslims get their own prayer room at Orlando airport - DailyKenn.com

Orlando. Hmmm.

Seems that city was in the news recently. Something to do with Muslims.

Oh, yeah. I remember.

A Muslim maniac walked into the Pulse nightclub and opened fire. 49 people were killed.

It reminds us of the mass shooting in Charlottesville, South Carolina where a white guy murdered nine black parishioners.

There is a difference.

In Charlottesville, the fatal shooting of 9 was celebrated by condemning the Confederate flag, disinterring Confederate heroes, and displacing Confederate icons.

In Orlando the fatal shooting of 49 was celebrated by creating a safe space form Muslims at the city airport. Specifically, the religion of peace will get its own prayer room.

From washingtontimes.com:

The Orlando International Airport will soon be opening a Muslim prayer room.

The airport will spend $350,000 to build the “Reflection Room” where Muslims can pray, a local CBS affiliate reported.

The decision was made after Emirates Airlines announced it will soon be offering direct flights out of Orlando to Dubai. A majority of the airline’s travelers are Muslim.

“These rooms provide travelers an opportunity an opportunity to pray in their own way and have peace before they take on a long flight,” Imam Muhammad Musri, president of the Islamic Society of Central Florida, told CNN’s local affiliate.

The room is expected be open by the Sept. 1 launch of the first Emirates flight out of Orlando.

Many Muslim travelers currently pray in public terminals and even in the bathrooms at the Orlando airport.

Trump vows to remove millions living in country illegally

http://img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net/tenant/amp/entityid/AAilhiJ.img

“Don’t tell everybody what you marketing plan is, execute it!” – Rush Limbaugh

Right on! Actually it makes perfect sense for Trump not to reveal the details on how this will all be done now. You don’t negotiate in public.

=========================================================================================

PHOENIX (AP) — Seeking to end confusion over his aggressive but recently muddled language on immigration, Donald Trump vowedWednesday to remove millions of people living in the country illegally if he becomes president, warning that failure to do so would jeopardize the "well-being of the American people."
But Trump didn't address what he would do about millions more who might remain under his approach — the major question that has frustrated past congressional attempts at remaking the nation's immigration laws.
Instead, Trump repeated the standard Republican talking point that only after securing the border can such a discussion begin to take place.
It was a retreat in the rhetoric for the billionaire from the GOP primaries, when he had vowed his "deportation force" would seek to remove all who didn't have permission to live and work in the country.
The Republican presidential candidate insisted than any of the estimated 11 million such immigrants who want to seek legal status or citizenship in the United States must return to their home countries in order to do so. And he outlined plans to create a special task force that would prioritize the deportation of criminals, people who have overstayed their visas and other immediate security threats.
"Anyone who has entered the United States illegally is subject to deportation," Trump charged in the highly anticipated speech, which took place hours after he met with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.
He added, "There will be no amnesty."
The aggressive tone during his speech in Phoenix marked a shift from the New York billionaire's demeanor earlier in the day, when a much more measured Trump described Mexicans as "amazing people" as he appeared alongside Pena Nieto in Mexico's capital city. It was his first meeting with a head of state as his party's presidential nominee.
Shortly after the joint appearance, a dispute arose over the most contentious part of the billionaire's plans to secure the U.S. southern border and fight illegal immigration — his insistence that Mexico must pay to build his promised wall.
Trump told reporters during the afternoon appearance that the two men didn't discuss who would pay for a cost of construction pegged in the billions. Silent at that moment, Pena Nieto later tweeted, "At the start of the conversation with Donald Trump I made it clear that Mexico will not pay for the wall."
With the meeting held behind closed doors, it was impossible to know who was telling the truth. But clash cast a cloud over Trump's first meeting with a foreign dignitary and threatened to overshadow the evening address.

Pope to oversee migration issues in shakeup of Vatican offices

ROME (Reuters) - Pope Francis on Wednesday announced major changes to the Vatican bureaucracy, slimming down the number of offices and giving himself direct charge of migration issues, continuing a reform push he promised when elected more than three years ago.
In a document known as a Motu Proprio, Latin for "by his own initiative", the pope said he would merge four Vatican offices into a "Dicastery for the Service of Integral Human Development" starting on Jan. 1.
When elected in 2013, Francis pledged to cleanse the Church's bureaucracy, which had been rocked by scandals and charges of greed and corruption. He said he wanted "a poor Church" that served the poor.
The pope will oversee work on migration and refugees within the new dicastery, or department, which will absorb the offices for justice and peace, human and Christian development, immigration, and health workers.
It will spearhead the Church's humanitarian work internationally, including oversight of funds allocated to charities, focusing on "migrants, those in need, the sick, the excluded and marginalized, the imprisoned and the unemployed, as well as victims of armed conflict, natural disasters, and all forms of slavery and torture," the pope wrote.
Francis will "temporarily" take personal charge of migration because "there cannot be a service for integral human development without paying particular attention to the phenomenon of migration."
The leader of the world's 1.2 billion Roman Catholics, has often defended refugees and urged Catholic parishes in Europe to host them, with limited success.
In April, after visiting a migrant camp in Greece, the pope brought three families of Syrian refugees back to Rome with him.

NFL execs: Kaepernick is a 'traitor,' hated as much as Rae Carruth

http://img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net/tenant/amp/entityid/AAiklKK.img

This comes under the category of “what on earth was he thinking about?” I must imagine that deep down the pampered dope knows that his career is over. Colin Kaepernick’s game performance has been less than satisfactory for some time now and as such he was very likely to get cut from the 49ers this year in any event (and what team would be needy enough to want to pickup an injury prone has-been like him?). Consequently he’s probably all angry, bitter and feeling sorry for himself and wanted to get back at the world. So he made some sweeping and provocative political statement put himself back at the center of attention and make everyone else feel his pain. Certainly dissing America and by extension all patriotic NLF fans who had nothing to do with any of the social ills Kaepernick claims to be concerned about was not the best course of action as it gains him no sympathy whatsoever from those same fans. The teams owners can see that plain enough. What companies will  want to pay him for endorsements now? Would any sports network want to hire him as a commentator (outside of lefty ESPN)?

=========================================================================

If Colin Kaepernick ends up getting released by the San Francisco 49ers, he may have an incredibly difficult time finding work elsewhere.
Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report spoke with seven anonymous NFL executives, and the consensus among all of them is that their teams would never sign Kaepernick in the wake of his national anthem protest.
“I don’t want him anywhere near my team,” one front office executive said. “He’s a traitor.”
“He has no respect for our country,” another exec told Freeman. “(Expletive) that guy.”
Each of the seven execs said he believes Kaepernick will never play in the NFL again if and when the 49ers cut the 28-year-old. Taking it a step further, one team official told Freeman he believes 90 to 95 percent of NFL front offices have blacklisted Kaepernick. That same exec said he cannot remember this much “collective dislike” for a player since Rae Carruth, who was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Carruth’s story, the former star wide receiver remains in jail after he was convicted of devising a plan to murder his pregnant girlfriend.
That seems a bit harsh. Many people feel Kaepernick’s decision to protest the national anthem is disrespectful, but he certainly doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Carruth.
In any event, Kaepernick’s poor performance on the field last season, his injury history and the current controversy surrounding him will likely turn teams off. If the majority of the league feels as strongly as the executives Freeman interviewed — or this former NFL quarterback, for that matter — Kaepernick’s pro football days could be numbered.

Yale chief's suspension over body armor rescinded

http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/b4e5a8f897ac2ba5913215929bae1a2edf309f7e/c=0-654-1942-1751&r=x633&c=1200x630/local/-/media/2016/03/29/MIGroup/PortHuron/635948512087148536-1113-Yale-Murder-003.JPG

“From the foundation of the City till the reign of the Emperor Gratian the foot wore cuirasses and helmets. But negligence and sloth having by degrees introduced a relaxation of discipline, the soldiers began to think their armor too heavy as they seldom put it on. They first requested leave from the Emperor to lay aside the cuirass and afterwards the helmet. In consequence of this our troops in their engagements with the Goths were often overwhelmed with their showers of arrows. Nor was the necessity of obliging the infantry to resume their cuirasses and helmets discovered, notwithstanding such repeated defeats, which brought on the destruction of so many great cities. Troops, defenseless and exposed to all the weapons of the enemy, are more disposed to fly than to fight.”

-          Vegetius, “De Re Militari” (On the Military), 378 A.D.
============================================
Michael Redman had been suspended without pay since Aug. 22 for not wearing his body armor while on duty.
Yale police chief Michael Redman's suspension has been rescinded after he complied with the mayor's rules on wearing a bullet proof vest.
Redman had been suspended without pay since Aug. 22 for not wearing his body armor while on duty after being asked to do so by Mayor Richard Busch. Redman asked the city for a hearing on the suspension that was scheduled for Monday night. The hearing was cancelled because the suspension was called off.
"The mayor rescinded the suspension, directed that the chief be paid for the time he was off and replaced (the suspension) with a written warning regarding the incident, considering the fact that the chief has complied with his directive and will continue to do so," said Yale City Manager John Osborn.
The chief has been complying with the mayor's request since he returned to work, Busch said.
"He's worn his vest each day he's been back to work," he said. "That's all I wanted him to do in the first place."
Stemming from Redman's suspension, Busch wants an official policy in place that states the police chief be included in those who must wear body armor while on duty. A policy exists through the police department that mandates that officers wear their vests while on duty, but does not mention the chief.
"The (proposed) policy is going to state that every employee of the police department, chief included, will be expected to wear a body armor device while on duty," he said. "The city has provided officers with their body armor."
While performing administrative duties, Busch said, officers who wear vests on the outside of uniforms must keep them close by.
"I don't have a problem with them taking it off during administrative duties, but they should keep it within arm's reach," he said. "Most officers are wearing the outside (vest). We do have a couple, chief included, who wear the body armor underneath. They will be expected to keep theirs on."
Busch said the vest policy is a priority, and he's hoping it will be voted on by the next city council meeting on Sept. 12. He said he has no doubt it would pass.
Redman declined to comment.

Vox Popoli: Churchianity and the feminized church

It's really rather remarkable, that as Christians lament declining attendance in their churches, and particularly, the growing absence of men of any age in them, they continue to double-down on the Churchian doctrine of the Holy Lady Parts. Rollo Tomassi observes that there is a material price to the structural and spiritual violations of 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, to say nothing of 1 Timothy 2:11–12 and 1 Timothy 3:11.

After almost six years of following the religious aspects of the Red Pill, I think it’s high time men acknowledge that modern Christian culture simply does not have men’s best interests as part of its doctrine anymore. Christianity, in particular, is by women, for women – if not directly executed by women, though even that is changing.

Church culture is now openly hostile towards any expression of conventional masculinity that doesn’t directly benefit women and actively conditions men to be serviceable, gender-loathing Betas. The feminist narrative of “toxic masculinity” has entirely replaced any semblance of what traditional masculinity or manhood once was to the church. Any hint of a masculinity not entirely beholden to a now feminine-primary purpose is not only feared, but shamed with feminine-interpreted aspersions of faith.

I recently read a study that our current generation is the least religious in history and I think as far as men are concerned much of that disdain for religion is attributable to a church culture that constantly and openly ridicules and debases any male-specific endeavors or anything characteristic of conventional masculinity. It’s no secret in today’s church franchisement that reaching out to, and retaining the interests of, men is at its most difficult.

Again, this is attributable to a generation of feminized men being raised into a church culture, and eventual church leadership, that has been taught to prioritize and identify with the feminine and reinforced with articles of faith now defined by the Feminine Imperative. The modern church has trouble reaching men because the church no longer has a grasp of what it means to be ‘men’.

To be clear, that’s not an indictment of the genuine faith itself, but rather a fairly measured observation of the way a feminine-primary church culture has shaped that faith. In the future, any man with a marginal capacity for critical thought will avoid the contemporary Christian church and religion for the obvious misandry it espouses; the only religious men you will find will be those raised into a life of religiously motivated Beta servitude – or those dragged to the feminine-directed church by wives who hold authoritative ‘headship’ in their relationships.

And even in what some consider to be pro-masculine or “macho” churches, we still find the Paper Alpha leaders preach from a mindset that defers wholesale to the feminine’s “Godly perfection” as they attempt to AMOG other male member to greater devotion to qualifying for, and identifying with, the feminine influence that pervades their church.
In this, as in so many things, observe that the consequence of following the lie is eventual destruction. This is what Paul means by knowing things by their fruits. If a church can throw out such clear Biblical direction in the interest of remaining in harmony with the current social or political consensus, it is only a matter of time before it will throw out any other instruction that makes anyone feel uncomfortable, and eventually, the Cross and the very concept of sin as well.

One need not be a theologian, or even a Christian, to see how this process has played out over the last 50 years.

Ex-boyfriend guilty in homicide of woman found in trash container

http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/4b9ede3820a54fc558b9aa527e18601b331caee4/c=0-50-534-352&r=x633&c=1200x630/local/-/media/2016/08/31/DetroitFreePress/DetroitFreePress/636082493666095810-635856992861055056-Globe.jpg

Lucky the authorities found her remains. Much of Detroit is completely abandoned. You could conceivably dump a body in some parts of the city where it might never be found.

=========================================================================

The ex-boyfriend of a Detroit woman whose body was found stuffed in a trash container on Detroit's west side last December was convicted of second-degree murder Wednesday in connection with the slaying.
Maxwell Brack, 24, was charged earlier this year with open murder, which carries a possible penalty of life in prison without parole, but was convicted on a second-degree murder charge, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Brack was arrested in connection with the killing in February.
Kajavia Globe was reported missing by her family on Dec. 11, and police found the 24-year-old's body behind a house in the 18500 block of Fielding a few days later. The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office said earlier this year that an autopsy failed to reveal how Globe died, although it is being classified as a homicide. Spokesman Lloyd Jackson said "a thorough investigation, including toxicology screening" was conducted, but the official manner of death was ruled indeterminate.
Globe was last seen in the area of McNichols and the Southfield service drive.
